Draper Temple Excursion

We took the kids out a little bit early from school and went to the Draper Temple Open House. It was very nice and organized. First there was a short video about temples at a ward house a couple of miles away. Then we were taken by bus to the temple. The temple was beautiful and the spirit was wonderful. We got to sit a bit in the celestial room. The last room of the tour was the sealing room where a sweet couple talked about eternal marriage. The children really liked looking at their 'forever' reflections in the mirrors at the end. When we were through we were taken to a nearby stake center (within short walking distance) where there was a reception with cookies. The children loved this! It was really neat that each place we went (even in transit) there was a special spirit that accompanied. What a nice reminder of how we can make our lives if we try to always make sure that sweet spirit is with us wherever we go and wherever we are. Even now Isaac talks of the temple ("Jesus' house") and asks if we can go there again. What a sweet experience.

I enjoyed attending the Draper open house, too. Andrea invited me to go with her and their children. James had gone at an earlier date with the YM, YW in his ward. It's nice to see your pictures. I will always remember the cookies and the adjacent wardhouse gym turned into a fancy customized annex.
