Christmas Day 2009

Santa has arrived!!

Santa even remembered Belle the cat and the rats. If you look close you will notice that all the kids (except Hannah) got coal this year! It turns out it was chocolate coal.

Hannah is still asleep!

There was Plenty of excitement on Rachel's face when she found a Furreal cat hidden behind the chair!

Santa remembered Mark as well - or at least Elizabeth did!

Gingerbread Houses

YUM!!

Mom figured out how to make royal icing - piece of cake. Next year maybe she will tackle the gingerbread.

Dad's taking a well deserved nap!

Cute houses and tasty too.

Christmas Eve Traditions

Soup and a Christmas Story

Gifts for Jesus. Each Christmas we write down individual gifts for Jesus. It is fun to read the previous years gifts. Last year Johnny and Isaac said they would give Jesus legos. This year Johnny said 'Don't scream at people' and Isaac said 'go poopoo in the toilet.' Very nice gifts boys. Hannah said 'cats.'

Every Christmas Eve we have potato soup in bread bowls and Smoothies.

Santa and Mrs. Claus

Daniel pretending he doesn't like the smoothie - but he drank every bit.

Ahhh - the smoothie-staches!

Making stockings and Finding Jammies New Years Eve

Hannah and Isaac need stockings! They are old enough to know they don't have one, so I sewed and sewed - they are both done!

The race to find the Jammies begins!

Rachel had a hard time finding the jammies mom hid under the stairs but was happy when she finally found them. Daniel was last to find his - Dad hid his well!

Benjamin the Heart-Throb

Today a girl from Benjamin's school came to give him a Christmas present. The girls love him, even though he refuses to admit it. He was a little embarrased however to be in his pj's! Oh well, I am sure she did not mind. Emme Visick gave him some carmel and chocolates.

Benjamin thinks his mom is a little strange - but that's ok. It's hard to believe Benjamin is already a teenager. He is growing up so fast! He is an awesome kid.

Christine danced beautifully in the Cache Valley Civic Ballet's Nutcracker this year.

It was beautiful to watch. This picture is our favorite.

Mommy's Elves

Isaac and Hannah loved helping mommy decorate the tree. Johnny loved helping with the tree also. I took the picture after he had already left for kindergarten. I am glad that I have three little tree helpers. The older kids are no longer interested.

My three cute little dinner prep helpers. We even let Hannah help (with a butter knife of course.)

I am so lucky to have such great dinner time helpers.

Hannah is my most willing helper elf. Here she is trying to show her dissapproval that we won't let her help the way she wants to!
